Jeanette Bonner is an award-winning actor, writer, and producer in NYC. Her solo show, “Love. Guts. High School,” which was developed in playwright Matt Hoverman’s solo show workshop, premiered at the 2012 Midtown International Theatre Festival and earned nominations for Best Actress and Best Solo Show. She then went on to perform it in the Chicago Fringe Festival, where it was named a top ten “Critic’s Pick” by Time Out Chicago, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
As an actor she has performed with Winnepesaukee Playhouse, Manhattan Theatre Source, and Vital Theatre Company, and workshopped plays with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Abingdon Theatre, and Primary Stages. She is a student of Upright Citizens Brigade and Magnet Theater, and has performed with improv troupes American Standard and National Comedy Theater.
Her production company, Kelly’s Pool Hall Productions, was founded in 2007. She is also the Executive Producer, Creator , and Writer of web series “Ghost Light” – a series about a motley crew of stagehands – which was an Official Selection of the UK Web Fest and Miami Web Fest. in addition to producing independent content she is a Producing Associate with Lauren Rayner Productions.
She holds a BA in Theater and Dance from Trinity College, CT. She is a licensed NYC tour guide, and when she’s not introducing tourists to her favorite city in the world, she can be found writing her ice cream blog, www.theicecreaming.wordpress.
